Occupying little more space than your average portable CD player, Coby's spiffy little TF-DVD500 DVD player has its 3.5-inch TFT liquid-crystal display mounted right atop its sturdy lid. The affordable player can provide CD music and back seat DVD entertainment for your car using a supplied DC power adapter or full-featured entertainment for your home or office through its AC power adapter and audio/video hookup cables. This is a portable whose attachable battery pack is actually an asset even when you're running the player indoors off AC power: the battery pack serves as a viewing stand, offering adjustable height and viewing angles. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery runs for about 2.5 hours between charges. The player offers compatibility with DVD-Video (both NTSC- and PAL-formatted region-1 and all-region discs), audio CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3-encoded music discs, and even recordable CDs brimming with your JPEG digital photos. An onscreen display simplifies setup and operation; you can view setup options and commands in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese. Playback options include frame-by -frame slow motion and multiple-angle viewing (with applicable discs).
