"The T100 Home Theater combines high performance with high value and provides very large sound in a very compact size. Our entry-level home theater speaker package, featuring tower speakers, effortlessly excels at both music and movie playback. The T100 uses a pair of 5 1/4"" woofers in a sealed enclosure with a downward facing vent. Using two woofers keeps bass performance on par with a single 8"" driver. The most noticeable impact of the dual small woofer arrangement is that the dispersion angle remains wide through the midrange. The compact size of the T100 makes it a practical alternative to satellite or bookshelf speakers on floor stands. The wider response range of the T100 facilitates use of a lower crossover point to the BassCube 10S subwoofer, which can improve the blend through the midbass range. This can be a significant advantage in many rooms, particularly those where the subwoofer may be on a side or rear wall. A compact but powerful center channel speaker, the Newton MC300 uses two 4-inch midrange drivers and a 1-inch reinforced silk dome tweeter. Its MTM (Midrange-Tweeter-Midrange) design produces a robust, wide-range, well-dispersed output with outstanding musical accuracy. The MTM array also ensures smooth, seamless transitions across the home theater's soundstage. The Newton Series S100 surround speakers use MultiPole technology so they can be switched from dipole (diffuse radiation) to bipole (direct radiation) operation. This makes them the ideal speakers for use with Dolby Digital systems which send distinctly different signals to the right and left surround speakers. The MultiPole switch alters the directionality of the speakers. Dipole mode sends the mid- and high-frequency output along the side walls, so all the listeners hear a diffused, enveloping sound.
