Huawei MatePad become real life competitor of Apple iPad: Full Analysis

The Chinese company Huawei continues with its foot on the accelerator in order to keep its launch calendar impassive. Recently it was the turn of the Huawei MatePad, one of the “star” products of the firm and which has continued to be renewed in order to continue maintaining the good reputation that precedes it.

On this occasion, Huawei has wanted to emphasize the student sector and the range of access to this product, which due to its characteristics points quite high. Discover with us the new Huawei MatePad, what are its characteristics and the tests that we have carried out to tell you everything.

Discover with us the new Huawei MatePad, what are its characteristics and the tests that we have carried out to tell you everything

Materials and design of Huawei MatePad

Let’s start with the design. In this case, Huawei has opted for a 10.4-inch product that stands out mainly for how small its front frames are, something that I sincerely liked a lot. In front we have the camera for video conferencing, while in the rear we have a single sensor protruding from the chassis.

Size: 245 x 154 x 7.3mm
Weight: 450 grams

We have accessed the version in Midnight Gray, with aluminum on the back and a peculiar result when it comes to avoiding tracks. As for the materials, it seems like a real success. In this regard, I have found myself comfortable with daily use and handling, yes, we have to remember that we have an ultra-panoramic format that can become strange for those who are used to somewhat more “square” tablets.

Technical characteristics of Huawei MatePad

On a technical level, this product leaves practically nothing behind, we highlight its 4GB of RAM in the tested unit, as well as the more than ratified processor of its own manufacture by Huawei. These are all the details:

Processor: Kirin 810
RAM memory : 4 GB
Storage: 64 GB with microSD expansion up to 512 GB
Display: 10.4-inch IPS LCD panel at 2K resolution (2000 x 1200)
Front camera : 8MP Wide Angle with FHD recording
Rear camera : 8MP with FHD recording and LED flash
Battery: 7,250 mAh with 10W charge
Connectivity: LTE 4G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C OTG, GPS
Sound: Four stereo speakers and four microphones

Undoubtedly in the technical section we are going to miss few things in this tablet that seems to be prepared for a good dose of work and development. Undoubtedly, thanks to its hardware, it becomes a good everyday companion. It is clear that when playing video games we are not going to find high-end results, but as you have seen in the test video we have enough. For their part, the rest of the applications dedicated to consuming multimedia and office automation content have performed correctly.

Compatibility with own accessories

We emphasize in this case that although we have not been able to test them beyond the small pre-breafing of months ago, this MatePad is fully compatible with the Huawei M-Pencil that will allow us to draw and write with considerable quality.

For its part, it is also desirable to use accessories such as its own cover / keyboard, which although it does not have a trackpad system, will help us perform better office automation tasks and of course work with the tablet. This case fits you with a glove and the key travel has shown itself to be sufficient in our tests.

Multimedia experience

One of the key points of this type of product is precisely that of consuming multimedia content, and that is usually quite clear to Huawei. We have a 10.4-inch panel in ultra-wide format. This is how we have an IPS LCD panel at 2K resolution (2000 x 1200) that is capable of offering 470 nits of brightness. The result has been good in almost every aspect. The Chinese firm usually adjusts its panels well and the case of the MatePad is no exception, we really liked this section.

MatePad is fully compatible with the Huawei M-Pencil

While the brightness of 470 nits may not seem surprising, it is more than enough to deliver multimedia content in harsh environments such as bright sunlight. We also highlight the sound with its four speakers, it sounds strong, the bass and the mids stand out and the experience with cinema and YouTube videos is quite favorable. We do not have a 3.5mm Jack port, but Huawei includes a USB-C to 3.5mm Jack adapter in the box for the most classic ones. Even so, the experience of multimedia consumption is round, it seems without a doubt its most remarkable point.

General usage experience

As has happened on other occasions, we once again have the “problem” of the absence of Google Apps, something that particularly penalizes the tablet considering its sense of productivity (Google Drive … etc) and of consuming content (Netflix, YouTube …). If you follow us you will know that Huawei has little fault in this section, where the political veto of Donald Trump (USA) is still in force.

However, it is still possible and easy to take the necessary steps to make it a fully compatible product with Google Apps. For its part, the Huawei App Gallery continues to grow, although it does not fully satisfy our needs. This being the section that most ends up tarnishing an experience that with the exception of this section was still good. Regarding autonomy, we have found an experience close to 9 hours of screen, depending on the content we consume and the “cane” that we give to the processor. We must never forget that we lack fast charging, the 10W of the charger will take us more than two hours to charge.

Conclusion

The main attraction of this MatePad is the price, which price is around 279 euros, very competitive taking into account all its characteristics and the fact that in certain points of sale it will be at even lower prices with certain offers. Without a doubt, the Huawei MatePad stands up to the competition by offering features that are difficult to match.

Apple iPhone 11, Pro and Pro Max Launched: Price, Specifications, and Features

Apple (AAPL) has again updated its flagship smartphone, the iPhone with its latest model, the iPhone 11. The latest variants were announced at a special Apple event on September 10th in Cupertino, California.

The new variants include the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

There are a number of changes to the latest iPhone model, according to Apple. It features a new anodized aluminum finish, more color options, dual-camera setup, all-day battery life and the fastest chip ever in a smartphone.

iPhone 11 Pro

The new iPhone 11 also boasts of its ability to shoot and edit high-quality videos. Editing videos are as easy as editing pictures. Users will now have the ability to record and edit 4K videos at 60fps on all the cameras.

One noteworthy feature mentioned by Apple is the option to zoom in with the audio. When making a video and you zoom the video, the audio will match. We really can’t wait to get our hands on the iPhone 11 to experience this cool new feature.

iPhone 11 Pricing and Release date

Apple plans to start accepting pre-orders on September 13 at 5 am P.D.T and will commence shipping on September 20th.

They are currently promoting trade-ins of older models for a lower cost.

Apple will pre-order the iPhone 11 at $16.62 per month or $399 on an iPhone 8 Plus trade-in. The iPhone 11 Pro will go for $24.95 monthly or $599 with eligible trade while the iPhone Pro Max will go for $29 per month or $699 with iPhone X trade-in.

The development team has placed a refreshing spin on the iPhone for 2019. The new craze seems to be all about the camera. The iPhone 11, Pro and Pro Max will be available in retail for $699, $999 and $1099, respectively.

Now your iPhone is available in six vibrant colors; Product Red, black, yellow, white, purple, and green. Unfortunately, the Pro duo will only be available in four dull colors; gold, midnight green, space gray and silver.

Apple iPhone 11 Specifications and Features

All the features we mentioned earlier are listed on Apple’s website. Hopefully, they will be just as awesome with a hands-on of the phones.

Apple iPhone 11
iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 IMG: C/Net

Apple equipped the iPhone 11 with a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina display with a 1792 x 828-pixel resolution. The large screen display also retains the notch from the previous models and still has its large bezel.

iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max, on the other hand, features a Super Retina XDR display with HDR 10 support. There are two screen sizes; a 5.8-inch and a 6.5-inch, respectively.

The iPhone 11 trio series is powered by Apple’s latest A13 Bionic chip. The new processor is touted as its fastest processor ever and will be the fastest in a phone. There are three storage options; 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

There are no details of the iPhone 11 memory listed on the Apple website up to publishing; however, benchmark claims 4GB of RAM while other sources cited 6GB.

Longer Battery Life

In terms of battery life, Apple brags of improved battery life with the iPhone 11. There are claims of a one-hour-longer battery life than the iPhone XS.

Apple didn’t release any talk time stats, probably because phones are more used for filming and streaming than talking nowadays. Hence, the reason why they estimated battery life based on playing streaming video.

Estimated Battery Life with video playback

  • iPhone XR – 16 hours
  • iPhone 11 – 17 hours
  • iPhone 11 Pro – 18 hours
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max – 19 hours

Apple iPhone 11 Camera Specs

Apple iPhone 11 dual-camera setup and color options

The iPhone 11 features a dual-camera setup while the iPhone Pro and Pro Max get a triple camera setup. The dual-camera setup includes two 12-megapixel ultra-wide and wide lens.

Apple has made it easy for users to switch between wide and ultra-wide angles when capturing objects far away. There’s also a slew of features that accompanies the new cameras.

  • QuickTake: A new video feature that makes it easier to film videos by long-pressing the camera button.
  • Night Mode: The camera has a new night mode that activates automatically to lighten photos in low light conditions and reduce noise.
  • Next-generation Smart HDR for photos
  • Advanced red-eye correction
  • Image formats captured: HEIF and JPEG.

There is a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera on the front. It is capable of recording 4K videos at 60fps, slow-mo videos and will support selfies in landscape mode.

iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max Camera Specs

Apple iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max Triple camera setup

Similar to the non-Pro iPhone 11, they both get a 12-megapixel selfie camera. The camera also features a wide-angle lens and capable of capture selfies in landscape mode.

Apple added a rectangular camera bump with a triangle array of lenses. The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max get a wide, ultra-wide and telephoto lens.

The ultra-wide has an f/2.4 aperture with a 120-degree field of view. As Apple’s first triple camera system its meant to compete with rivals who have already leaped to a four-camera system.

Has Apple Shot Itself in the Foot in This Crucial Smartphone Market? | Smart Home – Smart Gadgets

The smartphone giant’s gains in India last quarter may soon be wiped out.

The global smartphone market has taken a beating over the past couple of months. The novel coronavirus outbreak has forced people into their homes and brought most economic activity to a halt. Counterpoint Research estimates that global smartphone sales fell 14% year-over-year in February 2020, driven by a massive contraction in China.

The research firm points out that sales of smartphones in China fell 22% annually in the first quarter of the year as COVID-19 gripped the country. Moreover, smartphone sales forecasts for the full year appear to be grim, as IDC expects shipments to fall by 2.3%. Amid these gloomy smartphone numbers, the Indian market did well, and Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) benefitted handsomely over there in Q1. The bad news: Apple’s India momentum could snap soon.

India smartphone sales hold steady despite the coronavirus

According to Counterpoint Research, smartphone shipments in India grew 4% year-over-year to 31 million units during the first quarter of 2020. The first two months of the year witnessed impressive shipment growth on the back of new devices and aggressive promotional activity before COVID-19-related shutdowns caused a 19% slide in March.

The Indian government imposed a nationwide lockdown on March 24 to contain the spread of COVID-19, bringing all economic activity to a halt. Sales of non-essential items such as smartphones were stopped as shops were shut and e-commerce operators were only allowed to deliver essential goods. As the lockdown continues through April — it has now been extended until May 17 — India’s smartphone market is likely to lose more steam.

But if we look beyond the near-term disruptions caused by the pandemic, India’s smartphone market did well in the first quarter of the year compared to the global numbers. Apple was one of the key beneficiaries of India’s smartphone growth in the first quarter, clocking an impressive annual jump of 78% in shipments, according to Counterpoint’s estimates.

What’s more, the company dominated the premium smartphone space in India (devices priced at 45,000 Indian rupees, or roughly $600) with a 55% market share. However, the surge Apple enjoyed in India last quarter may not last for long.

Apple’s latest surge in India isn’t sustainable

The Indian smartphone space is bound to take a hit in the coming months thanks to the lockdown, which is one of the biggest reasons why Apple’s sales could fall off a cliff over there. Millions of jobs are reportedly on the line in India as the government keeps the economy nearly shut to contain the spread.

For instance, the Indian textile industry is staring at job losses of nearly 10 million if there is no government intervention. The auto industry is already mired in deep uncertainty as sales have plunged. So spending on discretionary items like expensive iPhones may be the last thing on consumers’ minds in India.

Moreover, Apple seems to have made a few bad choices as far as its iPhone line-up is concerned. First, it priced the all-new iPhone SE at a hefty premium instead of the $399 international price and discontinued the iPhone 8 in the Indian market.

What’s worth noting is that the iPhone 8 was being sold for around 39,000 rupees (roughly $520) before it went off of the market. The new iPhone SE has been launched at around $560 in India, which doesn’t make much sense considering the newly launched device is essentially an updated iPhone 8 at heart.

So Apple has raised the entry barrier for Indian consumers looking to get into the iPhone ecosystem, which may not have been the right thing to do in the current scenario.

10 Incredibly Useful Things You Had No Idea Your Apple Watch Can Do

We all knew it was excellent for giving you notifications, and, obviously, for giving the time. You might be one of the fortunate people to get a new Apple Watch this Christmas season. That wouldn’t be a surprise as they were discounted at ludicrously low prices and the fact that Apple has sold an unprecedented number of its Series 5 and Series 3 smartwatches. We bet you that you didn’t have any idea it could do the following ten things too.

1. Inverse The Display and Crown.

You may just realize you could do this, yet you probably haven’t realized how valuable this feature truly is. It places the crown in a significantly more unintrusive place that won’t inadvertently increase your volume or turn on Siri.

2. Control Your Apple TV

In case you lose or misplace the remote that Apple ships with the Apple TV, your Apple Watch have an application for that. Simply open the Remote application on your Apple Watch and you can swipe your way to your most loved Netflix or Disney+ film.

3. Set Your Watch Ahead

Back in the day when we wore simple watches, it wasn’t uncommon to set it a few minutes earlier. it helped get things on schedule and never be late. Did you know that you can do the same on your Apple Watch? Simply go to the settings app on the watch, select “Clock” and look over the advanced crown to modify the time appeared at 59 minutes.

4. Share Your Location with iMessage

Have you at any point tried to let a friend or mate know where to meet and share your location? It can be quite a pain. Fortunately, your Apple smartwatch makes it simple. From the iMessage chat itself, simply force touch the display and then select the pin option to share your exact location. They’ll get a message with your place on a map and will even get directions on how to get to you. Cool isn’t it?

5. Set a Reminder for When You Get Home

Siri and the Reminders app are the best mix on the iPhone, and the equivalent is valid with your Apple watch. Simply raise the smartwatch up, and tell it something like “Hello Siri, remind me to check my emails when I return home.” She will.

6. Find Your iPhone App

Let’s be honest, the main reason most of us don’t lose our watch is for the fact that we wear it on our wrist. The same applies to our iPhones. Luckily, if you have an Apple Watch, you can ‘ping’ your iPhone and it will make a sound, helping you work out where you left it. You simply swipe up the base of the watch face, tap the iPhone icon and you are done. Top dog!

7. Recognize Background Music

Without a doubt, Shazam is extraordinary, but, who really needs it? Siri can do the same for you on your Apple Watch, just by raising your watch and asking her “Hello Siri, what tune is this?”. As a matter of fact, Apple purchased Shazam and had the audacity of providing it built-in within the iOS, which means that you can get a similar result without using a different app. In addition to this, Siri will automatically add them to your Shazam library so you can return later and check out your favorite picks. Brilliant integration.

8. Unlock Your Mac

It is really cool and practical to wake up your MacBook Pro and have it unlock automatically with your Apple Smartwatch. The coolest thing is that no password or TouchID needed in the process. All you need is to ensure you have your Watch unlocked and your MacBook must have been opened once with your password. Simple!

9. Take Picture on Your iPhone

Selfies are amazing and everyone is at it, yet once in a while, you need somewhat more space to fit everybody in, including yourself. You presumably set your iPhone timer and pray for the best. However, there is a far superior alternative using your Apple Watch.

Simply open the Camera application on your Watch, which opens the equivalent on your iPhone’s. It will give you a live preview and will enable you to either hit the shutter or set a three-second window, which is all you need to drop your arm back to the right position and take the ideal photograph. You can even check the photo taken directly on your watch. That is what I call cool and a time saver.

10. Setting the Dock with Your Favorites

By pressing the side button (not to be mistaken for the digital crown) you can get to the dock on your Watch. It will either pull up your recently used applications, or you can decide to have it pull up a listing of your favorites. To make the changes, open the Watch application on your iPhone, select “Dock” and pick “Favorites”. You will then be able to change the list of applications that show up, which is an extremely helpful way to have quick access to the ones you use the most.

Why don’t you read our fiull review of the Apple Watch Series 5 and find out why we think it is the best smartwatch in the market.

Apple iPad Pro 2020 has 6GB RAM, Wi-Fi 6, U1 chip with Magic keyboard

The recent rumors of the Apple iPad Pro 2020 caused a sensation but it was probably the Magic Keyboard with Trackpad that captured the scene. It is no coincidence that the commercials on the product are largely focused precisely on the use of computers.

The new iPad Pro stands out only from its back, where there is a double chamber with a square protrusion similar to that of the iPhone 11. Inside the changes there are, starting with the SoC A12Z Bionic, a new range of processors that Apple incorporates an 8-core graphics processor, which brings with it a more powerful Octa-core GPU compared to the A12X.

A12Z will not be an A13X but is preparing to set a new record for the entire sector

6GB of RAM

The first feature does not need clarification and is clearly very welcome to make the user experience more fluid, in multitasking as in more complex operations. Note that in the 1TB version of the iPad Pro 2018 the 6GB were already present, while all the other models had 4GB.

Ultra-wideband U1 chip

The ultra-wideband chip was first introduced with the iPhone 11, but at the moment its use in the field is very small and this is probably why Apple has not mentioned it. Its effects are rarely noticed, just with AirDrop an indication of the direction in which another device equipped with Apple U1 should appear. The problem is that the real use of this device, capable of relating to others like it in space, will be seen when there are many around. So, we will have to get used to seeing it appear passively in the product data sheets so that when the first concrete applications arrive these will already be operational with the devices that we have in our hands for years.

IPad Pro 2020 camera

The new Apple iPad Pro 2020, integrates a rear module consisting of two cameras: 10 mpx ultra wide angle and 12 mpx wide angle , with which we can record spectacular videos and photos. The set of two cameras of the iPad Pro allows us to take photos and record videos in 4K quality. The front camera of the iPad Pro does not offer us any notable news compared to the previous model, since it is also compatible with Face ID, Apple’s facial recognition system.

Augmented reality on iPad Pro 2020

In the same module where the cameras are located, there is also a sensor in LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) a sensor that allows determining the distance by measuring the time it takes for a light beam to reach an object and reflect it back to the sensor. This sensor works hand in hand with cameras, motion sensors and the operating system to measure depth, making the iPad Pro an ideal device for augmented reality.

Apple A13 present in the iPhone 11 basically maintains the same architecture but is lower in computing power than the "old" A12X

The Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro with trackpad should also be compatible with the 2018 iPad Pro. The old Smart Keyboard Folio cannot be used on the new iPad Pro 2020, which requires the second generation. Instead, the 2nd generation Apple Pencil remains the same.

What else changes

Considering also these two additions, the iPad Pro 2020 differs from the previous model in the following characteristics:

  1. SoC A12Z (instead of the A12X)
  2. Base model capacity 128GB (instead of 64GB)
  3. 6GB of RAM for all models
  4. Ultra-wide 10MP camera (previously absent)
  5. LiDAR scanner for augmented reality
  6. Ultra-wideband U1 chip
  7. Wi-Fi 6

Prices of iPad Pro 2020

The starting prices of the Apple iPad Pro 2020 are the same as the previous generation, the only thing that changes is the storage space, which this time starts from 128 GB instead of 64 GB from the previous generation.

  • 11-inch iPad Pro WiFi 128 GB of storage: 879 euros.
  • 11-inch iPad Pro WiFi 256 GB of storage: 989 euros.
  • 11-inch iPad Pro WiFi 512 GB of storage: 1,209 euros.
  • 11-inch iPad Pro WiFi 1 TB storage: 1,429 euros.
  • iPad Pro 11-inch WiFi + LTE 128 GB of storage: 1,049 euros.
  • iPad Pro 11-inch WiFi + LTE 256 GB of storage: 1,159 euros.
  • iPad Pro 11-inch WiFi + LTE 512 GB of storage: 1,379 euros.
  • 11-inch iPad Pro WiFi + LTE 1TB of storage: 1,599 euros.

  1. iPad Pro 12.9-inch WiFi 128 GB of storage: 1,099 euros.
  2. iPad Pro 12.9-inch WiFi 256 GB of storage: 1,209 euros.
  3. 12.9-inch iPad Pro WiFi 512 GB of storage: 1,429 euros.
  4. 12.9-inch iPad Pro WiFi 1 TB of storage: 1,649 euros.
  5. iPad Pro 12.9-inch WiFi + LTE 128 GB of storage: 1,269 euros.
  6. iPad Pro 12.9-inch WiFi + LTE 256 GB of storage: 1,379 euros.
  7. iPad Pro 12.9-inch WiFi + LTE 512 GB of storage: 1,599 euros.
  8. iPad Pro 12.9-inch WiFi + LTE 1TB of storage: 1,819 euros.

Best 5 iPhone NightMode photos to be featured at Apple Newroom

iphone 11 nighmode

Apple is asking iPhone owners to send in their very best Night Mode photographs so the best 5 iPhone NightMode photos to be featured at Apple Newroom. Night Mode is a feature that was introduced on the new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max range at the Apple launch event in September.

Any photos you want to submit can be shared with Apple through their social media platforms or via email. They must be in by January 29, 2020.

Apple offers you the opportunity to profit using your phone through this amazing photography challenge or competition.

The company is promoting this competition to feature the best Night Mode photographs taken on their new flagship models iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Maxes. Submissions will be accepted beginning at 12:01 a.m. PST on January 8, 2020, and will end at 11:59 p.m. PST on January 29, 2020. Essentially, the challenge is on as we publish this, and photographs must be submitted by no later than January 29. Entries can be shared on Instagram or Twitter, under the hashtags “#ShotoniPhone” and “#NightmodeChallenge,” or on Weibo.

Photographers ought to specify which iPhone they used to take the picture in the description/ post. Photographs can also be submitted through email to preserve quality, Apple said. They firmly believe that photographers ought to be rewarded for their work, nice of them, and consequently, they will pay the corresponding license fee to the five photographers who win the contest. However, they didn’t stipulate how much photographers would actually be compensated or paid for.

Night mode is a popular feature that was introduced on the new range of iPhones made public in September, the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max. The feature, which naturally enhances the photograph quality in low light conditions, does its magic automatically.

Photographers can choose to submit photos unedited, altered in the Photos app, or edited in 3rd party apps or programs. So photoshop lovers will get a kick out of this. They just have to be taken on the iPhone 11 range of models mentioned above.

For this, Apple has put together a great judging panel and got onboard some very respectable judges that will evaluate and choose the five winning photographs, which will be announced on March 4. Some of the judges are Jon McCormack, whose work has featured in TIME and UNESCO, Malin Fezehai, who has shot for the New York Times, and acclaimed Apple executive Phil Schiller, among others.

The winning photographs will feature on Apple Newsroom, Apple’s website as well as on Apple’s Instagram account. The photos could also be used as part of any Apple digital campaigns, at Apple Stores, advertising billboards, and/or in third-party photo exhibitions. Essentially, a lot of exposure!!

More data is accessible here.

Latest AirPods Pro leaks point to some new colors, and more. | Smart Home – Smart Gadgets

Auto Draft

Apple has done a grand job of keeping its AirPods 3, the next generation of its incredibly popular true wireless in-ear headphones, secret. The current model, version 2, was released on March 20, 2019 and added a faster chip, better battery life for calls and an optional wirelessly chargeable case.

But, earlier than some expected, the latest leaks suggest the third-generation AirPods are coming very soon.

It seems likely that as these are more advanced than the current models that the name may not be AirPods 3 but the more enticing AirPods Pro.

Earlier in October, a clue appeared in the latest iOS beta, version 13.2, which seems to hint at the new AirPods with an icon buried in the software.

Other rumors have strongly suggested that the new version will have noise-canceling capabilities, like the Sony WF100XM3 earbuds and the soon-to-be-released Huawei Freebuds 3.

Now, Slashleaks has images of what appears to be the case into which the new earbuds will plop to be charged, revealing a little about the shape of the earbuds, perhaps.

What’s interesting is that the purported case is quite a different shape from the current square-with-rounded-corners box on the AirPods now. This looks much wider but not as deep. The view from above hints at headphones which have noticeably larger earbuds than before, suggesting that advanced noise-isolation will also be a part of the design this time around.

Incidentally, Slashleaks now has a new legend above the images it has published which states: “Chinese Knockoff but likely accurate depiction of the original model”.

What’s more, Ben Geskin, who knows more than most about leaks and rumors, has tweeted that he also believes the image is real but of a non-genuine item – a fake version of AirPods Pro. Geskin also adds his voice to the belief that AirPods Pro are due any day.

Given the other leaks and rumors I’ve come across that seems right to me which says two things: first, although it’s not real it’s still a strong visualization of what’s coming and, second – oh joy – that work towards creating fake versions of the AirPods Pro has already begun.

MacRumors has also spotted other clues. Accessory maker ESR has released a cover and carrying case for the new earbuds, and these look identical to the leaked images from Slashleaks.

There’s one other thing that seems near-certain. Whenever the new AirPods arrive, and I believe this will happen within a very few days, they are likely to be in as heavy demand as previous versions.

Expect the new design to become familiar very quickly.

Apple Watch Alternative Xiaomi Amazfit GTS: Price and rReview 2020

Xiaomi has been producing success after success and the only category that lacked a bit was the smartwatch space. They made these cheap watches like the Amazfit Bip , Amazfit Bip Lite and so on. So far they have not made a smart watch that competed with Apple or the like. Xiaomi has had enough and they bring the Xiaomi Amazfit GTS.

With a style and design similar to the Apple watch, cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Active. Xiaomi’s giant killer is Apple Watch Alternative. Introducing the Xiaomi Amazfit GTS. In this Amazfit GTS review, we see if this Xiaomi smartwatch can beat the other competitors.

Review of Xiaomi Amazfit GTS

The impressive battery life is more than two weeks
AMOLED beautiful display

Cons

The sports characteristics do not live up to the standards
Synchronization is a problem.

Summary: The Amazfit GTS is not the most impressive smart watch that exists. But it works like a mid-level smart watch between low-budget and high-end ones.

Price – $ 139

Design and visualization of Amazfit GTS

Introducing the Amazfit GTS. In this Amazfit GTS review, we see if this Xiaomi smartwatch can beat the other competitors

  • It is obvious, isn’t it? It looks so similar to the Apple Watch, I’m sure the instructions for smartwatch designers were “Make it look like the Apple Watch.”
  • At first glance, it looks like the Apple Watch. Does it matter?
  • In the grand scheme of things, no. It is a design and a style that people like, and if you can get an Apple-like watch at such a low price, why not?
  • The design also has a crown on the side that can be used to wake up the smart watch.
  • The clock itself is quite thick, with 9.4 mm. The beautiful AMOLED screen is 1.65 inches that sits on a plastic base. It has an always active screen that looks great.
  • It has numerous styles of watch faces that look great. The colors are crisp and look pretty amazing. If you keep the brightness in automatic, you will save much of the battery life.
  • In the sunlight? It’s crystal clear and crystal clear!
  • Xiaomi Amazfit GTS has a 20mm thick silicone strap and comes in numerous colors.
  • Because it is a fairly thick watch, it is not so heavy at all.

Features and settings of Amazfit GTS

Even the Amazfit Bip Lite had a good GPS tracking function that was quite impressive. It’s the same for the Xiaomi Amazfit GTS too. The software is basic, but functional.

With a simple swipe up, you are offered the menu options that allow you to access

Daily status
Activity data
Notifications
Alarms
Training modes
Settings
Music
Compass
Timers
You can also find your phone with your Xiaomi Amazfit GTS smart watch, where your phone beats loudly through the application. A very useful feature.

You can monitor your heart rate throughout the day and the data is quite accurate, which makes it the perfect gift for parents and grandparents.

Once they can use the built-in GPS to trace their routes and see how much they have worked, which is quite motivating for runners.

The battery life of the Amazfit GTS

The battery life of the Xiaomi Amazfit GTS is impressive. The biggest problem with most smartwatches is the frequency with which they have to be put in charge. With some of my other devices, because I forget to charge it, I have to leave my smartwatch at home, which is irritating.

Even with the use of the GPS function and the activity tracking function, the GTS can easily last a week and a half.

The always on display considerably consumes the battery life and is a feature that most people turn off because the battery would not last even a few days with it on. That is disappointing because it is a feature that most people would like.

I can compare the battery life of this smart watch with that of the Bip Lite, which is quite impressive, and this is supported by that comparison!

Although most features work as advertised, the step counter in the Xiaomi Amazfit GTS has a problem. Sometimes it twists and records steps that have not been taken.

Another disadvantage of this smart watch is the application. The Xiaomi Amazfit GTS application is a replica of the Mi Fit application and is not too intuitive. It has its problems and one could find the synchronization of the application with the phone.

Otherwise, notifications are fairly easy to configure.

Amazfit GTS price

The GTS review is a very nice watch. It is more expensive than budget versions like the Amazfit Bip and the Lite. It looks like the Apple Smartwatch and has an amazing screen with a brightness that can temporarily blind you.

Is it worth the price of 150 dollars?

Not really.
