GoPro Hero 9 will launch on 16 September, company teases announ

(Pocket-lint) – GoPro has announced via teaser that it will be launching the much-leaked Hero 9 camera on 16 September.

The teaser video for the Hero 9 Black – published to Twitter and embedded below – says simply “more resolution, more everything” before revealing the launch date.

Apart from that, all we get is a glimpse of some footage shot on the camera, and a little look at some of the familiar design elements which seem to be the same as the Hero 8 Black

As far as specs go, a lot has already been revealed thanks to a few pre-launch leakers. Key among the early leaks was the image showing the packaging, which showed off all the main features.

This packaging showed that the camera will feature a higher resolution sensor, up from 12-megapixels to 20-megapixels. It’s also expected to record in resolutions up to 5K/30 and have a bigger battery than its predecessor.

The one big visual change is the colour screen on the front, or at least, that’s what the leaks have indicated. GoPro appears to be shifting from its tradition of offering a basic monochrome screen for simple capture info to a proper colour screen, which likely explains the bigger battery.

Other rumours include updated TimeWarp, 60fps 4K footage and support for HDR and RAW photos. Whether or not any of these rumours pan out is yet to be seen, but thankfully we don’t have long to wait.

Last week, Motorola unwrapped its Moto E6 Plus Smartphone at the IFA 2019 in Berlin, Germany. During the event, Motorola did confirm that the phone would be available soon. However, we figured it would be coming soon based on the recent Moto E6 Plus live image leak.

Since the event in Germany, Motorola has scheduled a launch event in India on September 16th and is most likely to release the handset on the same date.

Motorola India has started teasing the handset on Social Media. On Sept 9th, they teased a photo of the phone with the caption: ” #AbNoCompromise on storing important files, your favorite movies, music and more, with 64 GB internal storage at an unbeatable price. “

India-based e-retailer Flipkart has also teased an image of the phone with the hashtag ” #AbNoCompromise. ” The online retailer has also listed the smartphone but no pricing information.

Moto E6 Plus Specifications

Aesthetics-wise, the Motorola Moto E6 Plus features a beautiful glossy design. It has a waterdrop notch surrounded by a thick bezel, no home button and a dual-camera setup on the back. It’s glossy body also features a P2i water-repellent nano-coating to keep safe from splashes.

Equipped with a 6.1-inch HD+ Max Vision display, the Moto E6 Plus has a native resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels. The display features a waterdrop notch and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

The rear embedded dual-camera setup includes a main 13-megapixel sensor along with a 2-megapixel sensor with an LED flash. There’s an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front strategically placed in the waterdrop notch.

Other noteworthy features of the Moto E6 Plus includes a slew of connectivity options: Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g, 4G VoLTE, Micro USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In a previous publication, we noted that the rear Motorola button will feature an integrated fingerprint sensor, however, we still haven’t confirmed.

Motorola Moto E6 Plus Price in India

We should have clarity on the price of the Moto E6 Plus in India after September 16, and we will update this post with pricing information.

During its showcase at the IFA 2019 in Berlin, it featured a price tag of 139 euros ($154 USD). If Motorola launches the Moto E6 Plus in India with the same price tag, the phone should retail at about INR 11,065,23.

Samsung Galaxy M31 with 6,000 mAh battery for launch on February 25

Having launched the Samsung Galaxy M30 last year, Samsung is ready to launch its successor, the Galaxy M31, in Asian countries later this month. The mobile phone will be launched on February 25 in India and will be exclusive to Amazon India.

The Samsung Galaxy M31 also has its own page on Amazon and has revealed some of the key technical specifications of the device, including a massive 6,000 mAh battery such as the Samsung Galaxy M30s.

The rest of the hardware includes a configuration of four cameras at the rear, directed by a 64MP sensor. The L-shaped location of the four sensors inside the rectangular camera is similar to what we have already seen in the Galaxy A51, Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy Note 10 Lite and others.

Samsung has also confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy M31 will feature a Full HD + Super AMOLED “Infinity-U” screen.

Processor, RAM of the Samsung Galaxy M31, still to know

The rest of the technical specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M31, including the processor, RAM, storage, secondary image sensors, details on the display panel and other information, remain secret for now.

But it won’t surprise us if Samsung plans to reveal some of these details in the period before the actual launch.

It will also be interesting to see if the device will have a price similar to that of its predecessors, which could make it a worthy competitor against popular devices such as Redmi Note 8 Pro and Realme 5 Pro.

Meanwhile, Samsung will also launch the Samsung Galaxy S20 , Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Samsung Galaxy Buds + series in its “Unpacked” event. While the Galaxy S20 series will be the successor to last year’s Galaxy S10 line, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will be the second generation foldable mobile phone of the Korean giant.

It will have a shell shape like the folding Moto Razr 2019. As for the Galaxy Buds +, they will be the company’s next-generation wireless headphones and the successor of last year’s Galaxy Wireless wireless headphones.
