Segway X160 and X260 All-Electric Dirt Bike Takes you Off Road

Segway-Ninebot recently announced two new all-electric Dirt Bikes at SEMA 2019 in Las Vegas. The Dirt eBike X160 and X260 are Segway’s first electric dirt bikes as well as one of the world’s first hybrid between a dirt and mountain bike.

Both performance electric off-road vehicles are expected to go into retail starting Q1 of 2020. The Dirt eBike X160 will carry a price tag of $2,999.99, while the Dirt eBike X260 will retail at $4,499.99.

Duo Dirt eBikes are compact, lightweight and easy to maintain for the entry-level rider. Both eBikes were made with a broad audience in mind. Segway focused mostly on cost-efficiency, thus, enabling the everyday dirt bike enthusiast to be an owner without breaking the bank.

Segway designed both eBikes to take full advantage of its electric-powered motor, as a result, they are lighter when compared to traditional gas dirt bikes. The difference between both bikes is; driving range and size.

Dirt eBike X260

Dirt eBike X160 and X260 both use swappable batteries, therefore, an extra battery for an extended driving range is possible. Other similarities include an IP65 rating for the battery and an IP67 rating for the controller.

The X160 model measures 71.7 × 29.1 × 40.2 inches and weighs a mere 105.8 lbs with battery intact. This model promises up to 40.4 miles range on a full charge at a maximum speed of 31.1 miles-per-hour.

On the contrary, the X260 model measures 74.2 × 30.7 × 41.3 inches and weighs 121.3 lbs with its battery pack. You can expect up to 74.6 miles from a fully charged battery at speeds up to 46.6 miles-per-hour.

Ninebot GoKart

Ninebot acquired Segway in 2015 and since taking over the company known for self-balancing vehicles, the company aims to deliver more fun and adventurous products.

At CES 2018, the launched the Ninebot GoKart kit which allows you to convert your Ninebot S into an all-electric powered GoKart. Once converted into a Go-Kart, it has the capability to 0 to 12 miles-per-hour in two seconds.

The Ninebot Gokart was designed with an adjustable frame and steering wheel to fit riders between 4′ 5″ to 6′ 3″. It features a redundant braking system and capable of achieving maximum speeds of 15 miles-per-hour.

Segway’s Ninebot Go-Kart Kit retails at $699.99, in addition, you will need the Ninebot S which retails for $489 or purchase the bundle for $1,098.98.
